David T. Garvey, J. Mark Hillis Join NRC Realty & Capital Advisors; Increasing Firm's National Presence
NRC Realty & Capital Advisors, LLC named two new Senior Vice Presidents, J. Mark Hillis and David T. Garvey, to help direct the firm's increasingly strong national presence. Hillis is based in Atlanta and Garvey is based in the firm's New York office.
NRC Realty & Capital Advisors, LLC is a Chicago-based firm specializing in the accelerated sale of real estate by auction and sealed bid sale.
Hillis brings 24 years of extensive and varied commercial real estate experience to the firm. He will be involved in NRC projects involving commercial real estate dispositions, portfolio analysis, complex structured sale assignments and asset management consulting.
Prior to joining NRC, he was Senior Managing Director with Cushman & Wakefield, where he co-managed the Investment Sales Division in the U.S. overseeing 130 brokers in 26 offices. Hillis also worked as Executive Director with Morgan Stanley, in charge of dispositions in the U.S.
Garvey brings vast business development, advisory and investment experience to his new position at NRC. He has closed more than $400 million in transactions and served on deal terms responsible for $3 billion. In 2008, Garvey formed Trowbridge Capital to target distressed and opportunistic real estate investments. Garvey began his career in real estate with GE Capital Real Estate, where he sourced development and acquisition projects requiring equity and debt.
He holds B.A. and M.B.A. degrees from Babson College.
