Realty executive expects to see "spirited bidding" for properties.

Five BP Connect convenience stores and gas stations are being sold in a bankruptcy sale, including one in Romeoville, according to a news release issued Thursday by Kevin Deany, account supervisor for Lake Effect Communications.

The Romeoville property - built in 2004 - features a 4,200 square-foot store on 1.44 acres and is located at Independence/Route 53 and Normantown Road, Deany said. The four other stores being sold are located in Elk Grove, Joliet, Orland Park and Oswego.

"We expect spirited bidding from a variety of parties," stated Evan Gladstone of NRC Realty & Capital Advisors LLC in the news release. "A little TLC and these stations can be pumping high gas gallons and have great inside sales."

The properties will be sold "buy one, some or all" in a sealed bid sale process coordinated by NRC, Deany said. Packages will be available for download online in early September from the NRC website. The bid deadline is Tuesday, Oct. 1.
