Homer Glen and Oswego Convenience Stores Sealed Bid Sale Deadline September 29th

CHICAGO, IL, September 8, 2015 — NRC Realty & Capital Advisors, LLC announced today it is selling the two locations by sealed bid sale. The stores were operated by Gasmart, the Overland Park, Kansas convenience store company, which filed for bankruptcy on July 2, 2015. Gasmart rejected their lease agreements, and the owner of the stores has retained NRC to find a new tenant or tenants. The sites are being offered without gas or convenience store brand.

The Homer Glen location is at 143rd and Bell and was built in 1996, with a modern 3,000 sf store on a 1.42-acre site, which also includes a car wash and is fully fixtured. The surrounding area is heavily retailed with high traffic volume. The Oswego store is at Light Road and Route 31 across the street from a 1 million square foot Caterpillar plant. Built in 1998, the modern store has 3,500 sf on a 1.39-acre site with a large canopy and seven fueling stations. It is also being sold with all its fixtures.

“These are highly attractive opportunities for small operators or for distributors looking to expand or enter into the booming Southwest Chicago suburbs,” said Evan Gladstone, NRC’s Executive Managing Director.

The properties will be sold using NRC’s sealed bid sale process with a bid deadline of September 29. Property Specific Packages (PSP), which include due diligence, and information regarding submitting offers is available online at www.nrc.com/1511. Interested parties can register online for sale updates or by calling the NRC Customer Service Center at 800-747-3342, extension 1511.
