BARNEGAT, NJ — 7-Eleven is selling 18 of its stores across New Jersey, including one in the Settler's Landing shopping center in Barnegat, according to the group running the sales.

NRC Realty and Capital Advisers is selling the West Bay Avenue property as a "leased property," meaning the buyer is buying the business and renting the property for the remaining term on the lease.

7-Eleven is the largest convenience store chain in the country, and it is currently selling 73 of its properties across the U.S., 48 of those with gas stations. Nearby, the Hooper Avenue in Toms River location is up for sale, while the Lakehurst location is closing entirely.

"Smaller and regional operators have been looking for ways to increase their store holdings over the past several years," Ian Walker, NRC's senior vice president, told Convenience Store News. "The NRC sale process, as always, will create opportunities for retailers of all sizes, including individual operators, and we expect a robust response."

The deadline for bids is Tuesday.
